Feeling Overwhelmed by Diabetes?
I Can Help You
Maury M. Breecher, PhD, MPH (Master of Public Health degree), Type 2 diabetes since 1995.
Greetings: What if you could ask an expert any question you wanted to have answered about Type 2 Diabetes?
You can. Just write me. I provide an easy-to-use form a few paragraphs from now. First though, let me tell you a little bit about this site.
My goal is to provide inspiration as well as information, reviews, opinions, and news that will be of benefit you. Consequently, this web site is a combination of breaking, up-to-the minute diabetes news, coverage of diabetes research from prestigious medical journals such as Diabetes Care as well as coverage of medical conferences such as the American Diabetes Association's Annual Scientific Sessions. Most importantly, the news and features from these conferences will be covered with your needs and questions in mind.
Here you will find practical diabetes management tips, news, opinion and commentary, as well links to articles published elsewhere. Here you'll also be able to read my rants about inexcusable actions food manufacturers and others take that make it extremely difficult to eat right to control Type 2 diabetes. Consider those editorials. However, in my news coverage I will hue to the highest journalistic standards of accuracy. I will provide news about diabetic drugs and insulins such as Lantis, Metformin (glucophage), Actos, Avandia, Exenatide, Symlin and Byetta, each of which works in specific ways to lower high blood sugar and protect against diabetes complications. I will also write about pancreas and islet cell transplants, hypoglycemia, blood sugar testing, meters, and cinnamon to lower blood sugars.
Almost all of the information on this site is free. Here you will find News on Research, interesting Articles/News about Type 2 diabetes, free low glycemic recipes on the how to Lose Weight Easily page, other free Resources plus even a For Singles page. The exceptions to the free stuff are two: First, I offer my services as a Diabetes Coach for pay (Tap on the Diabetes Coach button). Secondly, on the Lose Weight Easily page I tell you about a new tool I have developed to help you manage Type 2 diabetes by choosing low-gylcemic meals. Diabetes Manager is not a weigh-control program by itself -- it's a blood sugar control eating plan that can help you avoid the nasty future complications this disease can bring. I offer free and paid versions of Diabetes Manager. As a bonus, with the paid version I offer a free weight-control book that I co-authored with a medical doctor expert that sells for $15.95 on another site.
Diabetes Manager is a weekly compilation of low-glycemic recipes, motivational advice, and other useful information. This weekly mailing contain menus and recipes for low-glycemic meals and snacks on every day of the week, week-after-week. Obviously, creating and testing these menus and recipes takes time so I have to charge a nominal fee for that weekly mailing. However, I will send it to anybody without charge if you tell me you can't afford that very low monthly fee. Furthermore, and don't miss this:
Just for reading my Lose Weight Easily page you will immediately be rewarded by being able to download a bunch of free bonuses. Just tap on the Lose Weight Easily button in the left-hand navigation panel to learn more about this. And now:

I'll find the answer, email it to you personally, and -- with your permission -- post all answers on this site.
